Ben Avey released the following statement upon notification that school mask policies would remain in place when general public mask mandates are lifted.
"We have to stop asking more from kids than we ask from adults. COVID-19 doesn’t differentiate between offices and classrooms. Nor does it care if someone is attending the Super Bowl or their high school Prom. Kids deserve equal treatment under public health policies."
