Trustee Areas
School Board Trustees in the San Juan Unified School District are elected by voters in a specific section of the district. That means school board members must live in a local Trustee Area and be elected by their neighbors.
Ben Avey was elected by his neighbors to represent Trustee Area 6, shown in dark yellow on the map below.
Trustee Area 6 includes the communities of Fair Oaks, Gold River, and portions of Citrus Heights and Orangevale. Trustee Area 6 schools include Bella Vista High School, Carnegie Middle School, Gold River Discovery Center K-8, Orangevale Open K-8, Earl LeGette Elementary School, Northridge Elementary, Pershing Elementary, Twin Lakes Elementary, Meraki High School, and El Sereno Independent Study.
